How to choose a good logo designer

The biggest mistake one looking for a good designer can ever do, is to base the choice upon the price.
Here are some of the criteria that we think you shall take into consideration first:

1) Do they love what they do?

Make sure your logo designer actually loves the work. If their web creates such atmosphere, it is an unmistakable sign that you have found the right place.

2) Do they produce creative logo designs?

Look at the gallery of their references. If all the logos displayed look alike, turn elsewhere. But if there are many different refreshing ideas displayed, you can be sure your new logo will not be just a tenth copy of someone else's logo - it will actually be an original and creative logo that will help you differentiate your business from your competition.

3) Money back guarantee

If they stand behind their work, it actually shows they are pretty confident about the quality of their work and know they can deliver. Only an insecure designer does not offer money back guarantee.

4) What about changes to the logo?

No logo designer is a genius able to look inside of his or her client's mind. The price of the logo shall include the changes and edits to the logo until the customer is fully satisfied. If they think they are genius able to do it right at first, you might be taking too much of risk.

5) Charging for a color, or charging a setup fee

Most logo designers charge a flat fee per logo. If someone quotes you a charge per color, a setup fee, or any other non-standard fee, let him or her explain why that is needed and what is involved in the extra work they charge for. Often it is only a way to make some extra money.
