Types of Logo Designs
There are mainly four types of logo designs which include Glyph, Alpha-Glyph, Alphanumeric, and Combination. Deciding which is best for your company’s image may be a hard choice especially if you do not understand what the difference is between the types.
Glyph logo design uses icons, symbols, and pictures to convey your company’s images. Examples of this would include a pen for an office supply company and the apple for Apple computers. This is not the most popular because using an image such as this can be very difficult to incorporate into a design that will look great no matter where it is used. Another reason is that it takes a very talented designer to create this type of logo and make it look professional and useable.
The Alpha-Glyph logo design usually uses the first letter of the company name. This type of logo design can be seen with companies such as IBM, Oklahoma State University and a few others. This one is similar to the above one in creating and is also not used by most.
The most common logo design is Alphanumeric. You will have seen this type of logo design used by companies such as Sony and Microsoft. This type of logo design uses the name of you company and writes the name with unique and distinctive typographical effects. These are the easiest logo designs to create with several choices on the font, color, letter spacing and other options that will aid you in creating a very unique and noticeable logo.
Combination logo design is growing and uses an arrangement of your company name with an image. Companies such as Red Hat Linux and UPS are great examples of this type of logo design.
Choosing which type of logo design is best for your company is up to you. You have several choices that can give you an awesome logo design that will give your company that edge needed to be remembered by clients, customers, and potential customers.
